12 Days Of Christmas – Day Four

Leftover Pastry Rolls!

This is how I use up the remainder of puff pastry from making my tarts that I put in yesterday’s post.

Step 1: Roll out the remaining pastry so that it is the same thickness as it was originally.

Step 2: Cut off the edges so that you have a square/rectangle shape.

Step 3: Cut it in half.

Step 4: Spread some jam over each piece. I used raspberry.

Step 5: Make a line of blueberries in the center of each piece.

Step 6: Roll it over and use a fork to bond the edges together. Make sure you do this really well because mine didn’t stick and ended up opening.

Step 7: Glaze the pastry with some eggs that have been lightly beaten. Put them in a preheated oven of 200 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden.

Step 8: Take them out and enjoy!

p.s. I actually like the look of them when they’re open!
