December Favourites!

December has been a month full of Christmas and New Year preparations, including a wild New Year’s Eve which included walking 4 blocks to McDonalds in socks. But this month I’ve loved a fair few things, so here they are!

1. Selena Gomez – ‘Revival’ album.
This album is incredible and it’s been the best album released in a long time for me. Even though I absolutely love Demi Lovato’s ‘Confident’ and 5 Seconds Of Summer’s ‘Sounds Good, Feels Good’ albums, I just feel like I connect so much more to the entire mood of Selena’s album. I feel like I’m now discovering who I am and learning how to navigate in this strange world. I didn’t really fall in love with it at first though, it took me a while to really feel it but now that I have, I am obsessed.

2. Adult Colouring Books.
They are the latest craze at the moment and for good reason. It’s so entertaining and oddly nostalgic to spend hours colouring in a picture. The book I have has tribal designs in it which look so cool with bright colours.

3. The Vampire Diaries.
I’ve binge watched the first 2 and a half seasons in about 2 weeks and I’ve loved it. Although it’s a little over the top and almost always predictable, it’s still a very entertaining show. I mean, who can look past Ian Somerhalder shirtless? No one.

4. Copper and Gold Sharpie.
Anyone who knows me would know that I love all things copper. But, recently I’ve been using a copper sharpie in my colouring book and it looks absolutely amazing. I love putting it with dark colours to brighten them up. The gold is also quite amazing.

5. McDonald’s All Day Breakfast.
Here in Australia, McDonalds has recently brought in all day breakfast which means I CAN EAT HOTCAKES AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY. Like eating it for dinner, which I did tonight (don’t tell my mum). It’s so handy to be able to eat it whenever which is good and bad. The bad part is that my best friends and I are frequently finding ourselves getting Mcdonalds rather than cooking…oh well.

12 Days Of Christmas – Day One

November Favourites!

November was a crazy month and here’s what I’ve been loving!

1. The Gym.
Wanna know something crazy? I joined a gym! And I am loving it. I have already noticed a change in my body and also my confidence as a whole because being active and building muscle makes me feel GREAT! My aim is not to lose weight as such but to replace some fat with muscle. So far it is well worth it.

2. Demi Lovato’s album “Confident”.
At first I was a little bit tentative with this album because it was a bit different and new but after listening to it I have absolutely fallen in love with it. I think it has such a unique mood to it and it really reflects Demi’s personality. My favourite track would have to be ‘Mr.Hughes’.

3. Tetley Pyramid Infusers – Forest Fruits.
Since getting braces (yay) I’ve had to cut back majorly on sugar. So, a good compromise between water and soft drink is herbal tea. I’ve been using this one to make my own iced tea (just without all the sugar) and it’s amazing. It’s subtle and yet still tasty which I really love.

4. Ed Sheeran
About a week ago, I went and saw Ed live. And let me tell you; he is brilliant. I’ve never experienced anything like his concert. I was singing from start to finish and the incredible talent of this man is out of this world. He used a loop pedal and his guitar to literally recreate songs from both of his albums, live. He sounded just as good as his recorded songs which is not something all artists can do which is great.

5. Photo Frames.
Recently I’ve redone my room and I have loved using all different photo frames. I think they’re just a cute way of having a little bit of the people you love around you all the time. I love them!

6. Mockingjay Part 2.
This movie was incredible. I loved every moment of it (even the heart wrenching parts). I think it was recreated from the books exceptionally by Francis Lawrence and the rest of the team. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson were fantastic and I’m so proud of how far the whole franchise has come in 4 years. Check it out if you haven’t already!

Alrighty that’s all for today, thanks for reading! πŸ™‚ x

October Favourites!

This month has been CRAZY! I’ve turned 18, got my license and attended high school for the last time. And, fortunately, I have many things that I have been LOVING. So, here we go!

1. Shadows Eyeshadow Palette.
I bought this eyeshadow palette about a year ago and ever since I have loved wearing it for special occasions. But now that school has finished I can wear it more often and I have absolutely loved the colours blended together. It’s a ModelsPrefer Palette and it cost me $10 at Priceline so for me it is very affordable and of good quality.

2. Foundation.
Another ModelsPrefer product that I love. Again, since school has finished I’ve been more free to experiment with my make up and my look and I have definitely been doing that with this lightweight foundation. I love this because it isn’t a heavy, cakey foundation and therfore for me is more comfortable to wear. It also only cost me $15 at Priceline so that’s a bonus. This product was also in last months favourites which shows just how much I love it!

3. Hairspray.
Since turning 18 I’ve been out to a couple of clubs and also fancier events which I have curled my hair for. I’ve been using TRESemmΓ© Salon Finish Freeze Hold Hairspray which locks my hair into a certain style for hours. It’s a very strong hairspray which I love because although my hair is fairly short, it does have some weight to it. I love it so much.

4. Sounds Good Feels Good.
5SOS’ NEW ALBUM IS HERE! And it is amazing. My best friend got it for me for my birthday and I have had it playing in my car ever since. The songs are amazing and meaningful and they are honestly the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I am so proud of the boys and all they have accomplished. This album is to die for so if you haven’t got it yet, please please please get it. You will not regret it!

5. Crackers and Dip.
Oh my goodness I cannot get these out of my mind! I’m obsessed with avocado dip and salt crackers! They have sustained many hungry tummies of mine and I have loved them for it.

6. Having My License.
Okay. I cannot express enough how handy it is to have my license and my own car. I can take myself anywhere I want at any time and I NEVER HAVE TO FILL IN A LOGBOOK AGAIN. It’s so nice. The only thing I hate is fuel, but it’s all worth it.

7. Teen Wolf.
Oh my gosh. I just finished season 3B and I cannot even. Like, wow. All of the shirtless men, wow. Also badass Dylan O’brien, wow. And just Dylan O’brien in general, wow. But seriously though this show is so much more than just another werewolf love story. It has so much depth to it and it honestly just keeps getting better. Go watch it!

That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for reading πŸ™‚ x

Ps. Sorry for the lack of posts but I have been super busy working and also preparing for the dreaded exams!

September Favourites!

September has been a crazy busy month but October is going to be busier! I hope you enjoy last months favourites!

1. Foundation by Models Prefer.
I bought this foundation months ago but only recently have I started to actually use it. Lately my skin has been really bad what with the stress of school and friends so I’ve felt the need to cover up a bit more. This foundation is really lightweight so it’s perfect for me because I hate wearing thick stuff on my face. It also has pretty decent coverage.

2. Chocolate Milk.
Recently I’ve been having a craving for chocolate milk and for some reason my taste buds think it’s the best thing in the world. (Probably because it is).

3. Lip Balm by Rimmel.
I bought this lip balm ages ago with a friend of mine and it’s been sitting on my desk ever since. I use it almost every day because it makes my lips feel so soft and moisturised. It says ‘Keep calm and shop’ on it which is why I bought it because in case you hadn’t gathered yet, I love shopping.

4. Photo Albums.
About a year ago I travelled to Timor-Leste with school and recently I’ve got all my photos developed and I’ve put them in a photo album. I really love looking through it and remembering all those fun times. I also can’t wait to do some more photo albums in the future.

5. Knitted jumpers.
Now that it’s beginning to become summer again where I live, I’ve noticed how much I’m going to miss wearing my knitted jumpers with my black jeans and boots. I love how you can dress them up or down and pair it with a collared shirt and boom, instantaneous adorableness.

6. ‘Photograph’ by Ed Sheeran.
This song is so beautiful and I could listen to it all day. I love Ed so much and I’m lucky enough to be seeing him perform in December. I am also absolutely in love with the music video which I’ll leave linked down below.

That’s all for today guys, I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading! πŸ™‚ x

July/August Favourites!

Last month I sort of didn’t get time to do a favourites post so I’ve mashed July and August together. These past two months I’ve found a few things that I’ve been loving. Enjoy!

1. Elf Eye Primer.
I’ve used this a few times under eye shadow and I don’t know how I ever went without it. It gives my eye shadow a clear canvas and helps it to stay where it is for much longer. I love eye primer and I don’t think I’ll ever wear eye shadow without it ever again!

2. ‘Very Irresistible’ by Givenchy.
My dad bought this perfume back from New Zealand in March this year and I’ve been wearing it practically everyday since. It’s such a beautiful floral scent. Everyone at school was giving me compliments about it. If you’re on the look out for a new perfume then check this one out!

3. Cadbury Dairy Milk Turkish Delight chocolate.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with this chocolate and I’ve been through about a billion blocks of it. It’s the perfect pick me up after a long day!

4. Crop Tops.
This last month I’ve finally ventured out into the wonderful world of crop tops. I’m not particularly confident in my body but I’m so glad i braved a crop top for the first time in public because I feel 100% better about my body. I don’t even know why but it has certainly helped me with my body image. I also love the way they look with a pair of black skinny jeans and boots!

5. ‘Foam Sweet Foam Cleansing Shower Gel’ by Zoella Beauty.
I bought this shower gel from a when Zoella released the new range and I have been using it every time I shower. I love the tutti fruity scent and the pearlescent pink colour of it. It’s so nice to use and I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

6. Guvera.
Guvera is like spotify but it’s completely free and absolutely amazing. It has almost any song you can think of with a very little amount of ads. I’ve got a bunch of soundtracks on there which is definitely cheaper than buying them. Download it onto your phone and get unlimited music at your finger tips!

7. Kmart Liquid Liner.
For some reason this liner doesn’t have a brand name but I remember I got it from Kmart. It’s a felt liner and I use it all the time because it’s so quick and easy to use. It’s not expensive at all which is great. It’s my go-to liner.

8. Williamette Stone.
Williamette Stone is from ‘If I Stay’ and they have 6 songs in the movie, all of which I’m in love with. They’re such great songs and they’ve got such a good vibe to them. Check them out on guvera or the soundtrack of ‘If I Stay’ because I guarantee you won’t regret it!

That’s all for today guys! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading πŸ™‚ x

June Favourites!

Hello again! This last month has been absolutely CRAZY! I’ve had non stop SACs at school, my art final due and all these other exciting year 12 things. However, this last week I have been relaxing and chilling out on holidays! (YAY). I’ve had a lot of things I’ve loved this month so let’s jump straight into it!

1. Nail polish.
Since I haven’t had school, I’ve been able to experiment (finally) with my essence nail polishes. My favourite one so far is in the colour 40: Play with my mint. As it says, it’s a really bice pastel green with a hint of mint. It’s such a beautiful colour!

2. 5 Seconds Of Summer.
Recently my best friends have got me onto 5SOS. I know, I’m about a year late, but I have absolutely fallen in love with their album. My favourite songs at the moment are ‘Don’t Stop’ and ‘Good Girls’. Their music is perfect to rock out to in your bedroom after a long hard day!

3. Formula 10.0.6.
This facial cleanser has become a part of my daily morning and night routine. It deeply cleanses your pores and wipes away dirt and oil. It makes my skin feel so clean and fresh and has made my spots much less prominent. If you’re looking for a really great cleanser on a budget, this is your product as it only set me back $8.99 from Priceline.

4. Lipstick by Colour by TBN.
This maroon/red lipstick is perfect for winter. It’s in the colour 877 ‘Lip Attitude’ and it goes with just about everything. It’s a statement lip colour that gives your face a bright and sophisticated look to match any outfit. Absolutely a must have!

5. Wish.
This online shopping app has been my go to app whenever I’m bored. I’ve bought so many things from there in the last month and a half and it’s all been so cheap! Wish has just about anything you could ever wish for! (Pun intended). Definitely go check it out!

That’s all for the month of June! I hope you enjoyed this post and if you want to see more then you can follow my blog or head on over to my twitter account @ElloFrancis97 to get updates when I post again. Thanks for reading! Bye! πŸ™‚ x

May Favourites!

It’s the last day of May and I’m determined to stay on top of my monthly favourites so here it is!

1. Perks of being a wallflower.
I love love LOVE this movie. I watched it the other day and absolutely fell in love with it. I bought the book today and I will start reading it as soon and I finish the Heroes of Olympus series. The movie, and particularly Logan Lerman, was amazing. It was so beautifully constructed and the acting in it is top notch. (Plus, Emma Watson is in it)

2. Headbands.
Lately I’ve been really loving wearing headbands. I’ve acquired a few and if I could wear them to school I’d be wearing them everyday. I find that they’re just so good for finishing off an outfit.

3. Gold eyeliner.
At Priceline a couple weeks ago I picked up a gold eyeliner from the covergirl stand. It’s the Ink It! in the colour 235 Golden Ink. I really love it and it gives my eyes a really elegant finish. It was on sale for $10 too so that was a bonus.

4. Apocalips.
Also at Priceline there was the new Apocalips lip lacquer from Rimmel London. It is so amazing. It goes on so effortlessly and lasts so long. It’s glossy but not in a lip balmy kind of way. I really love this lip colour and the consistency of it makes it comfortable and light to wear as well.

5. Eye crayon.
At Kmart I picked up an eye crayon in a golden/bronze colour for $2 and it has completed my life. It’s so quick and easy to put on yet looks like eye shadow. It lasts ages and doesn’t weigh down your lid. If you’re looking for a way to get that elegant and shimmery eye shadow look in half the time then definitely get onto some eye crayons.

That’s everything for this month. If you want to see more posts then yiu can follow my blog or head on over to my twitter account @ElloFrancis97 to get updates when I post again. Thanks! πŸ™‚

April Favourites!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a favourites post so I thought that’s what I’d do today!

The first thing that I’ve been loving the last month or so is a shop that my best friend introduced me to. It’s called Colette and sells jewellery and handbags and purses. It’s a really cute, high fashion store but it’s also really reasonably priced which surprised me. I’ve bought so much there already because Β the style of the jewellery is really cool. If you have a Colette near you I strongly suggest paying it a visit!

The next thing is fragranced candles. At kmart the other day I found one and the scent is so amazing. It’s called ‘Creamy Vanilla, tuberose and orange blossom’. Usually I don’t like orange scented things but this candle I just fell in love with. I’ve also collected a bunch of scented candles from Lincraft ranging from cherry to strawberry to apple scented.

Next up is I LOVE this website so much. Recently I’ve bought my formal dress from Boohoo for $40 which is so good compared to other sites. I always find the quality of the materials used is high and the delivery time is great considering it comes from the UK. I always find myself browsing the clearance section to find some cheap treasures. Head on over, they have a men’s and women’s section and also accessories.

Next is my Covergirl Lashblast Fusion mascara in the colour Very Black. I’ve been using this mascara for about a year and a half and I have loved it every single day. The applicator makes my lashes so long and it doesn’t clump which for me is the best thing. You can get it in waterproof or non waterproof. I always go for the latter because I find it easier to remove. If you’re on the hunt for a good mascara, give this one a go!

Continuing with make up removing, the next thing I’ve loved is my Garnier Gentle Cleansing Milk Goodbye Dry! make up remover. This product has removed every bit of make up from my face and always leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft. I used to use an oil based make up remover and now I will never go back. Milk cleansers are the way to go!

Finally, the last thing I’ve been loving this month is none other than the amazingly talented Ed Sheeran. I’m always listening to his albums and have bought tickets to his Melbourne show later this year. I love his lyrics and his voice and everything about this beautiful man. HE IS AMAZING. Go listen to him!

That’s all for today folks! If you enjoyed this post then give it a thumbs up and if you want to see more head on over to my twitter @ElloFrancis97 to get updates of when I post or follow my blog. Thank you! πŸ™‚
